The 2026 Zsigmondy Fellowship of the German Colloid Society has been awarded to PI Quinn, for his work at the interface of colloid, interfacial, and life sciences, particularly his work on the interaction of polymeric nanoparticles with biological media and precise physicochemical sensing.
Quinn received the award at the 53rd Biennial Meeting of the German Colloid Society, held at the University of Bayreuth from September 30 to October 2, 2026. Luckily most of the team could join for a very interesting and productive conference! Talks by Khrystyna, Jyoti, and Laszlo, along with posters by Dogukan, Nell, and Nuray!
The Zsigmondy Fellowship is named after Austrian chemist Richard Zsigmondy, who received the 1925 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his pioneering work on colloidal systems. It is typically awarded every two years to outstanding young scientists in the field of colloid chemistry.
